Attention Fellow Licensed Car Dealers We have recently set up a Domain Name Registration and Web Hosting Site. We aren't advertising this on the internet or to the general public. It's a "Bare Bones" site. We've set this up as a way to allow small car dealers to do business over the internet. We are advocating that small dealers need to have an identity which can easily and inexpensively be provided with the assistance of a small web site that can easily be edited by anyone with basic computer skills. Auto Sales but we have also registered James "Brothers" Auto Sales just in case folks misspell our name. (Both Names Point to Our Site.) We also have other names that point to the site. One vendor on our www.houstonwildwestdomains.com offers certain products in conjunction with hosting but please know, it may not give you what you need! This fact is being mentioned as some car dealers may end up needing extra bandwith. This is especially true if you intend to upload a lot of pictures! This fact is being mentioned as you could end up paying more if you have a lot of traffic thereby requiring extra bandwith. (This would be compared to being charged a higher rate on Cell Phone Minutes.) Experience tells us that almost all dealers require a lot of pictures on their site. If you intend to allow the customer to kick the tires online, you will certainly want to take a lot of for each vehicle in your inventory. Simply stated, lots of pictures requires lots of bandwidth for uploading and customer viewing or sharing of the photographs. This is the reason we have set up the alternate method of hosting with our friends at saWebHosting.Com and with whom we have reserved rack-space. Just in case you are wondering, our friends at saWebHosting.Com have a lot of experience with this type of service. In fact, they have a lot of clients who are Realtors and other types of businesses that deal in pictures and thereby requiring a lot of bandwidth. Note: Here's the Catch! If you would like to host your site on one of their servers, they do not offer real time phone tech support. (This being mentioned, these folks are highly qualified but please know, their gig is Web Hosting for folks that usually already have a website or perhaps someone that knows how to manage one therefore Tech Support is almost always handled by email! In other words, when compared to commercial website hosting companies, we can host your website and offer a larger amount of space and bandwitdth but the downside is we can't offer live 24/7 tech support. So, if you think you might need 24/7 "live" tech support, you shoulld probably consider hostiing with our Reseller Partner (GoDaddy) at HoustonWildWestDomains. If you are wondering what it cost, you'll be glad to know if you choose this route, you can get you an ample amount of bandwidth and storage for website hosting for as little as $25.00 Per Month or less. (This is a fairly large amount of bandwidth and a reasonably adequate amount of hosting for most small to medium sized dealers.) The real truth is that most folks can easily get started for less than $10.00 per month. (They can purchase additional space and bandwith as needed. Note: We don't require a contract commitment but do require advance payment in order to keep the costs down therefore packages of less than $10.00 per month are paid semi-annually (6 mos.) Larger packages are paid quarterly. Don't forget, you still get the 24/7 support but, it's by email. (This isn't really a big deal if it's set up correctly.) Concerning Hosting with HoustonWildWestDomains (A GoDaddy Reseller.) The emphasis is competitively priced hosting but concerning storage space and bandwidth, should you want or need more, it will probably cost a little more when compared to saWebHosting.Com's plan. Note: Our webhosing partners at saWebHosting.Com do not design websites nor do they offer tech support on website designs. In other words, whereas HoustonWildWestDomains does in fact offer live, 24/7 tech support for their web hosting and web designs. saWebHostiing offers only by email. As mentioned, anyone can register a name. However the aforementioned dealer services are being offered on a limited basis and only available to licensed dealers with a good reputation and, who are also HIADA Members. New Dealers must join and participate in HIADA. If you think this approach seems too aggressive, you may be right as we are serious about our automobile profession and want to help only those persons that share the same feelings of dedication and loyalty to the trade.
